by All Guns Blazing Pocket Tanks Tournament – 16th tourney of WOPT
The 16th tournament of WOPT finally came to an end a month ago. It was actually an All Weapons Tournament. It means you need to activate all 370 weapons from the weapon pool. Now Pocket Tanks has 375 weapons. The Turbo Pack got released on 8th April 2022. This new pack has 5 brand-new weapons. Those are Turbo Cannon, Bombs Away, Boring Missiles, Crash Drive & Matter Blaster.
Format of the tournament
Now coming to the All Guns 🔫 Blazing 🔥 tournament. All Weapons Active tournament was 1st of its kind in WOPT. This format of the tournament has never been hosted by me before. It’s because the game Pocket Tanks still has some drawbacks & can only be fixed by an update from the developers. Till now, it’s impossible for anyone to tell how many weapons a player has activated from the weapon pool. So, I was quite skeptical to host this format of the tourney as doubt might come to the players if their opponents get a good number of weapons from the weapon pool. It can be simply because of the luck of the draw or 1 can cheat also by deactivating some weapons which they don’t like.
All Guns Blazing Pocket Tanks Tournament / Rules of the tournament
As I’ve mentioned above it was an all weapons active tournament. All 370 weapons need to be activated. Also, a player needs to screen record while accepting invitations from others & also when he’s sending invitations to others. At 1st, a player needs to go to the Options & then Weapon Selection. The weapon selection should show all 370 weapons are active & then go to the “Play Online” option & then he should accept the game invitation. This is required for Player 1.
Again a player needs to go to the Options & then Weapon Selection. This is required for Player 2.
Why such rule ?
By following this rule the transparency of the game remains intact. The participants need to send all those recordings to me on my Facebook Messenger. If an opponent suspects the other player of weapon manipulation then they’ll text me on Facebook Messenger & I’ll show them the videos as proof that their opponent hasn’t cheated & getting good weapons is just a luck of the draw.
All Guns Blazing Pocket Tanks Tournament / Performance Stats of Peter 💯
12 players participated in this tournament. The Group Stage was a Best of 2 Round & it was 1 invitation from both sides. The Knockout Stage was a Best of 5 but the Final was a Best of 7. I scored 31 & Ranked 5th in the Group Stage. 8 participants qualified for the Knockout Stage out of 12 participants. I faced Ayedubya in the 1st Round. I beat him by 3 : 2 score in a Best of 5 Round. It was a very close contest. Ayedubya is a very good player & he has very good accuracy too.
Face Off with spitvenom
I faced spitvenom next. He’s another solid player & reads the game very well. We tied the Best of 5. I won 2 games & he also won 2 games. 1 game resulted in a Tie. So, we played another Best of 5 Round. This time, I won by 3 : 2. It was another nail-biter of a Round. All the 10 games were absolutely thrilling. I actually won the Round by 5 : 4 : 1 ratio. It means 5 wins, 4 losses for me & 1 Tie for each of us. I’ve uploaded all the 10 games here. Pocket Tankers lovers all over the world can see these videos & enjoy them. All of these videos are a visual treat.
Conclusion / samvid2991 wins the All Guns Blazing tournament
I reached the Finals & then faced samvid2991 in a Best of 7 Round. But the Round didn’t get to all the 7 games. I lost the Final by 0 : 4 to samvid2991. I got very average weapons in all 4 games as compared to his luck of the draw for all the 4 games. But, he played very well in all 4 games. He played brilliantly in the 1st 2 games of the Round. He shot a superb Jump Rope in the 1st game & got 270 + points.
But, if I could’ve got a better weapon offering then I could’ve given a fightback to him. I tied 1 : 1 against samvid2991 in the Group Stage. Anyway, that’s a different story. He wins his 2nd tournament in WOPT. Congrats to samvid2991 for his brilliant performance. The full tournament stats can be checked from the link I’ve given below.
